E-learning and e-assessment
BSI is a leading contributor to standards development in IT for learning, education and training, focussing on standards for metadata in learning technology, interoperability for computer systems and between content and learning management software, online delivery of assessments, and student identifiers.
These are the current standards:
- BS 8426 A code of practice for e-support in e-learning systems
- BS 8419-1 Interoperability between metadata systems used for learning, education and training. Code of practice for the development of application profiles
- BS 8419-2 Interoperability between metadata systems used for learning, education and training. Code of practice for the development of interoperability between application profiles
- BS 7988 Code of practice for the use of information technology (IT) in the delivery of assessments
- BS 8426 A code of practice for e-support in e-learning systems
- BS ISO/IEC 24703 Information technology. Participant identifiers
- This International Standard specifies the datatype of participant identifiers in learning, education and training. Participants may be users, teachers, agents, groups, organizations, institutions, etc.
- BS 8788 UK Lifelong Learner Information Profile (UKLeaP) in 3 parts.
