Sustainable development – organising an event
Cross-curricular links
During this stage pupils learn about themselves as growing and changing individuals with their own ideas, and as members of the local community. In addition to developing a sense of personal responsibility, pupils learn how their actions impact upon other people in their immediate environment and community, and also how the choices they make can influence the quality of other peoples’ lives in other countries around the world

In Key Stage 2 pupils should develop an awareness of where resources come from, and be able to identify activities that (have) change(d) the environment. They should also be able to identify ways in which people are able to look after the environment and improve the environment.
