Sustainable development
These lessons introduce pupils to sustainable development, using relevant examples and activities to engage pupils’ interest.
Lesson One guides pupils in how to apply the principles of sustainable development to their own event planning – using the example of a birthday party. Building on Lesson One, Lesson Two challenges pupils to consider how sustainable development applies to a big event – the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
Both lesson plans support the National Curriculum in Citizenship and Geography.
