Outdoor toys, furniture and equipment must be treated to prevent rotting

• Staining - water, oil or spirit based
• Oil - olive oil or teak oil
• Wax polish - bees wax or wax oil
• French polish - shellac dissolved in methylated spirits
• Synthetic resin
• Paint - emulsion, oil-based or polyurethane

Excellent resistance to corrosion and decay.

Tests

Flammability tests and poisonous element tests should be performed on all finishes.

Also test for sharpness of edges on metal after finishing has taken place.
