Buildings and services
From the time of the pyramids to the NatWest Tower, buildings have been growing in size. But to put storey upon storey, many obstacles have to be overcome. For this and, on a more essential level, to keep buildings warm and dry, certain Standards have to be followed.
Just think about all the different materials and joining techniques that make up a house. Many regulations are in place to keep potential dangers to a minimum.
