Debate: Are the Olympics the green games?
Using information from http://www.london2012.org/en/bid/greengames/ discuss the following questions in your ‘interest group’ and record your findings below.
1) The Olympic Games and Paralympic Games being held in London in 2012 are being promoted as the ‘Green Games’. Why? Are the organisers doing enough to manage the games sustainably?
2) Just because the Games will be being sustainably managed, does this mean that they should have come to London? Who benefits from the Games?
